Basiru APC National Secretary Refutes Crisis Between Him And Oyetola ....Osun APC Chair Sues For Unity Among Party Stakeholders...By KOLA OLABISI.

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator(Dr) Ajibola Basiru, has warned those spreading a false information that he is having a frosty relationship with the former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola to desist from doing so in order to escape the wrath of Allah.

Basiru who paid a courtesy visit to the Osun State chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, at the state party secretariat, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, today, stated that he has a perfect relationship with Alhaji Oyetola, now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.

The APC National Secretary who told the members of the party and the public at large to disregard the wishful thinking of the propagators of the misinformation and falsehood about his relationship with the minister to go back to their drawing board for another stratagem aimed at causing disaffection and acrimony within the state APC as this current one has failed without achieving its diabolical intention.

Basiru hinted that he was preoccupied with how to reinvigorate the party across the nation with a view to improving the fortune of the party that would translate into more victory for the party in more states of the federation.

He disclosed that he refused to write a rejoinder to the hogwash which alleged him to be at war with the ex-Governor Oyetola as he considered same as a product of beer parlour talks from habitual drunkards not worthy of being dignified with any response.

Basiru whose visit coincided with the meeting of the state executive officers of the APC with the party chairmen in all the local government council areas in the state presided over by the state party chairman, Sooko Lawal, remarked that he was happy with the state of the party in the state which confirmed its improved fortune.

The National APC Secretary enjoined all the stakeholders of the party to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his efforts to bail out the nation from the numerous challenges confronting it.

He explained that the economic downturn being experienced in Nigeria has its offshoot from the global phenomenon which is taking its toll on all the nations, stating that President Tinubu is confronting the challenges headlong.

Basiru urged the party leaders at all the levels of the party to be steadfast in their loyalty to the party with an assurance that it is crystal clear that the APC would take over the reign of government in Osun State in the 2026 elections.

In the APC National Secretary's words: "I don't know where some hungry bloggers source their story from? It is not true that there is acrimony between the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and I.  We are always on the same page.

"I was with him yesterday where I spent over two hours. Infact, he is aware of my trip to Osun State today. Where some bloggers came over a phoney story that I consulted an esteemed leader of our party yesterday in Iwo still remains a mystery when I was in Abuja.

"Was it my spirit that went to Iwo? Those who are writing compositions with the aim of causing acrimony in our party should go and find meaningful work to do instead of ranting", Basiru cautioned.

Earlier, the state chairman of the party appreciated the kind gesture of the APC National Secretary with his visit, stating that it would further entrench the faith of the members in the party.

Lawal tasked the chairmen of the party in the local government council areas and the state officers of the party to always work in unison in the interest of the party in their respective constituencies.

He used the occasion to appraise the party's sensitization visits to all the local government councils in the state, advising the party chairmen to continue to build on the success of the  sensitization tours in the interest of the party.

The state party chairman reminded the party chairmen that it was very important to  encourage holding of meetings at all the levels of the party in order to sustain its viability.
