Prof. Isaac Adewole, former Minister of Health marked his 70th birthday celebration with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.
The Service was conducted in Agbala Daniel Cathedral, Ojoo, Ibadan Oyo State to give thanks to God for his life on his birthday, the 5th of May 2024.
The service was anchored by Archbishop/ Prophetess (Dr) Siyanbola Olaniyi, the founder of Agbala Daniel Church Worldwide (Daniel’s Courtyard Church).
In her words if exhortation, Prophetess Olaniyi popularly known as "Mama Agbala" used the gospel song "Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee.” to highlight Christ as a solid and immovable helper for christians as she extolled Prof. Adewole's spirit of worship, christian faith and belief.
During the presentation of the tribute entitled "Treasured Man of God at 70", rendered by Bishop A. Oyetunji at the service, he commended the celebrant for his selfless and immeasurable contributions to humanity and the church.
"Prof Isaac Folorunso Adewole (IFA} is an oracle of Christ. He is a devout Christian who proudly identifies with his Church, Agbala Daniel. His attendance at church services and programmes is total.
"He comes with Bible (Hard Copy, not Soft/Electronic Copy). jotter and pen to take notes from sermons and exhortations from both Ministers and Teachers alike. He is always wiling to learn more.
"His status as a Provost, College of Medicine, U.C.H. Ibadan, Vice Chancellor, University of lbadan and Minister of Health, Federal Republic of Nigeria did not prevent him from serving God with all his might, IFA is the Choir Patron, Agbala Daniel Church Headquarters, who positively supports the Group with his influence and resources." Bishop A. Oyetunji said
It was nice to see Grandpa Adewole (Prof. Adewole's mother) enjoying and dancing to Evangelist Dr. Mrs Bola Are's music at the Thanksgiving Service.
The special service saw the presence of special dignitaries, Academia, medical practitioners, politicians as well as friends, family, and guests from around the world.
Some of the dignitaries present at the event include the former governor of Osun state Baba Bisi Akande, Evang. Dr. Mrs. Bola Are, Alani Kinrinade, Prof. Olu Aina, Chief Akinwande Akinola, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Chief Kunle Ponnle and Mrs Titi Laoye-Ponnle, Prof Idowu Olayinka, Prof. Taiwo Asaolu, Chief Kunle Odeyemi, Oba Adegboyega Famodun, Oba Adetayo Haastrup. The service was followed by reception and presentation of books at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan Oyo State.
