PDP’s Story On Osun APC Leaders’ Meeting With Tinubu is Propaganda To Confuse APC Members- Osun APC Tells Members, Supporters

As the House of Assembly election is approaching in Osun State, the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has tasked the members and supporters of the party to remain resolute and refuse to be cowed by the propaganda machinery and copious threats of violence by the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which is working in cahoots with the sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The Acting State Chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo today, stated that the series of falsehoods against the APC being churned out by the leadership of the state PDP is an indication that they are pungently worried and rattled.

Lawal disclosed that the story credited to the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, lampooning the Osun APC leaders over the results of the last charade, tagged elections, was a mere fabrication from the rumour mill of the PDP and a figment of the imagination of those spreading the mere composition scripted to confuse the people.

He told the PDP propagandists that the President-elect as a seasoned politician with candour is not, at all times, given to frivolity to the extent of dragging his party in the mud as it’s the usual practice in the PDP.

Lawal stated that the inexperienced and satellite Governor Adeleke has wittingly thrown a stone at the colony of bees and it’s a must for him to expect ceaseless stinging by the displaced bees in the political affairs of the state.

The Osun State Acting Chairman of the APC warned the sit-tight state caretaker chairman of the PDP, Dr Akindele Adekunle, and his co-travellers to desist from using falsehoods to drive his political campaign of calumny against the APC as such could not change the status of Ademola as a sacked governor.

Lawal told Adekunle to stop having the exaggerated notion of the popularity of the embattled Governor Adeleke as no responsible party would have anything worthy of attraction with a baggage full of unenviable notorious credentials of the embattled Governor Adeleke.

He explained that no one in the APC is contesting the leadership of the PDP in the state with the obviously challenged interim Governor Adeleke as it is one-eyed man who is usually made the king in the town of the blind.

Lawal stated that the PDP leadership of Adeleke being flaunted by the uninformed and largely-lacking-political-residual-knowledge-controversial caretaker chairman of the Osun State PDP is an abberation as it’s on record that the PDP of today in Osun is a product of political banditry as the party was hijacked from its original owners by the Ede country home cabal.

He stated that in a saner clime, the expired PDP caretaker chairman should cover his head in shame as the purpoted victory of his party during the last presidential and national assembly elections that he has been shamelessly flaunting was attained through the thuggerisation of the entire state by the PDP hoodlums.

Lawal told Adeleke and his confused caretaker party chairman that on the day of reckoning, all the atrocities perpetrated by the PDP thugs to suppress and frighten the members and supporters of the APC during the elections shall be exposed just the way it was done with the governorship election at the tribunal.

Meanwhile, in Lawal’s words: “It is necessary at this point to impress it on our members to troop out en masse to exercise their civic right during the house of Assembly elections coming up next Saturday.

“These PDP elements who have militarized and thuggerised the Osun political space don’t have our number. We are more than them. Refuse to be cowed by their threat of violence. The day of reckoning is near for those social and political deviants troubling the peace of the state”, Lawal warned.
