Mr. Ismael Omipidan, the Chief Press Secretary to the State of Osun governor, Gboyega Oyetola, on Friday, March 20 chided members of Osun People'sDemocratic Party (PDP) that Attended the South West Zonal rally that held in Ibadan while some countries and States were closing down public institutions and banning public gatherings.
This was contained in a his reaction to a question on a radio program broadcast by Rave FM.
"This is not about politics. We want to appeal to all our brothers and sisters who took part in the rally in Ibadan to please find a way to self-quarantine themselves. We are saying this because from the information which is in the public domain, one of the suspected cases which for now is deceased, was traced to Ekiti but that he also spent about two weeks or so in Ibadan, and this happened shortly before the last PDP gathering that heldl in Ibadan. Thank God the officials have come out to apologize but I want to appeal to all our brothers and sisters who were part of that event to please find a way to self-quarantine themselves because we don't pray to record any case in the State of Osun." Omipidan said.
