The popular Sabo|Irojo, Ilesa Monday market has been put under indefinite suspension by the State of Osun government due to the uncontrollable arrival of traders from the northern part of Nigeria.
This was the outcome of a meeting held with the Seriki Hausa of Ilesa, security operatives, Iyaloja\Babaloja, Ilesa East LG Council Chairman and his management team.
This morning (Monday 18th May, 2020) our correspondent made a visit to the market to report the level of compliance and bring you the above report.
In an interview with some of the security personnel on duty, it was reported that they have turned back trafers from Lagos, Ibadan, Akure, Iloring and Abuja who have being arriving since Saturday evening.
Some traders were seen hanging around waiting to see if the men in uniform will withdraw so that they can return to the market.
