Ilesa East Local Government Wakes Up to Bad Roads... Begins repair of Iyemogun road leading to its Secretariat

 

In a major relief to the motorists, Ilesa East Local Government under the administration, of the Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Lanre Balogun, has started road repair works in the city. 

Repair work started on the damaged portion of Iyemogun road from Wesley Hospital junction to INEC office to Ilesa East Local Government Secretariat.

Condition of the road became pathetic with heavy rains in the last months and regular users have expressed anger over its bad condition and overwhelmingly demanding for its repair.

However, the Caretaker Committee Chairman has swung into action finally and started road repair works on Friday. 

“Because of the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration exercise, traffic on the road has increased. We waited for the rains to stop and now our Works Department is completely focusing on the road. We will ensure that each and every road is repaired soon,” Aremo Lanre Balogun told our correspondent.
