Kazeem Afegbua, the spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign council has tackled the winner of the 2022 Osun state governorship, Senator Ademola Adeleke on the conduct of the election. Afegbua stated that there was the case of overvoting in many of the areas and that this is why the case is in the tribunal. He explained further that this is why Senator Adeleke made a lot of delegative orders immediately after he came to power. Afegbua pointed out that the Bvas cannot be fully trusted and that Senator Adeleke cannot beat his chest proudly to say that the 2021 election was free and fair. According to him, the Bvas were tampered with and this is why the APC are placing their eyes in every corner ahead of the election.
He said, ”I hope that the APC will have their eyes everywhere in this election. We will continue to give information that will be useful to the APC about the BVAS. The information I have given to one of the chieftains, and they have worked on it. You cannot tell me that there is no process to manipulate the BVAS. Do you know there was a manipulation in the Osun election? Senator Ademola Adeleke cannot beat his chest to say that the Osun election was free and fair. There was so many cases of overvoting and Bvas is not a full-proof that cannot be tampered with.”
