The Osun State Government on Friday announced the appointment of Prince Oyebade Samson Kehinde Oyeleye of the Ajibiowu-Ajiokun Ruling House as the new Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa in Atakumosa East local government/area of Osun State. The stool became vacant at the demise of late Oba S. A. Popoola in 2021.

The notification of appointment which was signed by Mr. Bashir Oladipupo, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs reads in part;
"I am directed to inform you that the governor, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has approved your appointment as the next Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa, Atakumosa East Local Government of the State with effect from Thursday 30th March, 2023 in accordance with Section 20, Subsection (1) of the Chiefs Law (Cap. 25), laws of Osun state 2022...
