Ijesa Mineral Resources Development Forum (IMRDF), an Advocacy Group on Safe Mining, made up of eminent Ijesa Sons and Daughters across professional divides today embarked on its 2023 annual engagement of Stakeholders in mining operations of Ilesa East and Ilesa West local government areas.
Prominent Ilesa High Chiefs Assembled today at Ilesa Social Elite, Isokun, Ilesa to brainstorm and profess solutions to the problems being encountered by residents of Ilesa.
This advocacy also aimed to analyze and map out livelihood strategies to propagate safe mining and seek the protection of the mining ecosystem for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Present at today's stakeholders engagement were the President, Ijesa Development Assembly, Mr. Supo Shadiya, Dr Adigun Adewoye, Mr. lateef Bakare, Mr. Wale Idowu, Mr. Foluso Adedigba, Hon. Seyi Fatogun.
Ijesaland traditional rulers and high chiefs that honored the invitation of the IMRDF included, Oba Olaniyi Agunbiade, the Olumo of Imo, Oba Moses Olusegun Akeju, the Arojo of Irojo, Oba Afolabi Makanjuola, the Onilaje of Ilaje, High Chief Saka Fapohunda, the Ogboni of Ilesa, High Chief Bola Orolugbagbe, the Odole of Ilesa among others.

The visitation plan continues tomorrow Tuesday at Atakumosa East LG at Ogboni Palace, Ipole-Ijesa by 10.00am.
