IBADAN EXPLOSION: Owoeye, Odeyemi Others Pay Sympathy Visit To Asiwaju, Yeye Asiwaju of Ijesaland






The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijesa South Federal Constituency have visited Ibadan to sympathize with Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi and Yeye Asiwaju Dr Mrs. Bisi Fasuyi on the huge explosion that occurred on January 16 at Dejo Oyelese Street, near Old Adeyi Avenue, Old Bodija Estate, Ibadan, leaving more than five persons dead, 77 persons injured, and scores of houses partially or completely damaged.

Three organisations belonging to Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi and Yeye Asiwaju, Dr. Bisi Fasuyi reportedly suffered material damages.


The blast impact affected Supreme Management Training and Consultancy Services Ltd; Ibadan Business School; and IBS Hotel Ltd are located within the vicinity of the explosion. 


Chief Kunle Odeyemi, APC leader in Ijesaland today (Tuesday) led other party leaders to Ibadan.




Other party chieftains in the delegation were former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, former House of Representatives member, Hon. L. B. Ayeni, Hon. Idowu Falade, Hon. Ademola Philip, Chief Adegboyega Ajeleti,  Olori Sola Agbadaoje, Chairperson APC Ilesa West local government,  Mr Mudashiru Bello, Chairman, APC, Atakumosa West Central LCDA and Hon. Olatoberu Jimoh, Chairman, APC, Atakumosa East local government.

The delegation were received by Yeye Asiwaju Dr. Mrs. Olubisi Fasuyi.


Rehabilitation works have as from today (Tuesday, 30th January, 2023) commenced on all the damaged infrastructure, hence, the entire facilities at Supreme Management Consultants, Ibadan Business School, and IBS Hotel are not available for inspection and visitation for safety precautions.
