With pageantry, encomiums and jubilations as leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilesa and Modakeke celebrated the newly appointed Executive Director, Project Implementation, Federal Housing Authority, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye on Friday.
Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday evening approved the appointment of Omowaiye, the former Osun Commissioner of works and transport, alongside other notable Nigerians, to head various agencies of government. The party’s faithful who assembled at campaign office, Oke-Omiru area, Ilesa and Ileri-Oluwa campaign office, Itasin, Modakeke, described the appointment as a great blessing to the people of the state.
They averred that the appointment was a testament to unwavering commitment and loyalty of the appointee who they described as an ‘ardent party man’. According to them, the choice of Omowaiye as the new DE of one of the best agencies in the country was an attestation to his dedication to the cause of progressivism in the state and beyond. They extolled President Tinubu and the immediate past Osun Governor now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola on the “well-deserved” appointment saying “Omowaiye’s appointment is a round peg in the round hole”
In their separate goodwill messages, Hon. Kola Obeta, Hon. Awoniyi, Hon. Olaniyi Ojo, Olori Agbada-Oje among others, described Omowaye’s appointment as a welcome development and a blessing not only to Ijesas, Osun people but the country at large. “We were all excited immediately we heard the announcement of Omowaiye’s appointment not because of any other thing but because of the kind of person he is. He is a child in million, a politician of repute and indeed, a professional with difference. “One thing you can not take away from him is his humility. He is a man who will never for any reason snub anyone even if you don’t see him, he will park and call you. He can use anything at his disposal for the progress of the party. We have attested to his loyalty, commitment, dedication and unwavering determination to the cause of progressivism and progressive family.
“So, this appointment is not coming by surprise because we believe strongly that he merit it as we are all living witnesses to his tremendous contributions to the growth and development of our party not only in Ijesaland also at the state level. “We pray God to continue to guide him and bestow him His divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding as he embarks on a new national task”, Obeta said.
