Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, former House of Representatives that represented Ijesa South Federal Constituency at the 9th National Assembly (2019 to 2023) on Saturday 3rd February 2024, commissioned a fully energized 33KVA transformer which he facilitated for the AnnuOluwapo Community, Ilaje, Ilesa West local government, Osun State.
The commissioning ceremony took place at the site of the fully installed transformer within the community in the presence of Ilesa West LG All Progressives Congress APC party leaders, stakeholders and members along with members of the benefitting community who were seen in customized T-shirt adorned with images of the facilitator.
A leader of the community who spoke at the event highlighted the experience of the community while the processes of the transformer's installation was ongoing as he showered encomium on Hon. L. B. Ayeni for ensuring that the transformer was energized from his personal purse though some politicians attempted to claim responsibility for its provision.
Hon. Ayeni in his speech advised the community to adequately protect the transformer as well as all it's accessories from theft while also admonishing the residents of AnuOluwapo community to ensure its appropriate use to avoid damages as he assured the gathering that his Ayeni Foundation will continue to contribute to the development and empowerment of the youth and Ijesa communities in general.
