The unprecedented monumental spirit of Self-Development exhibited by the Ijesa Community assisted in the birth of the first University in Ilesa, University of Ilesa.
The former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola could not do otherwise but to hearken to the desire of Ijesaland of having a University in Ilesa.
The back to back commissioning of the 9-Month Owa Obokun Adimula Palace and 10-Month Ijesaland Geriatric Center left no one in doubt, not at least the former history making Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, in rewarding the Ijesa Community with her age long heart desire and subsequently announcing to the world of the birth of the University of Ilesa at the commissioning of the largest Geriatric Hospital in West Africa, Ijesaland Geriatric Center (IGC) on Thursday 31st March, 2022 thereby giving birth to two monumental projects in Ijesaland on the same day!
Ijesa shall forever remain grateful to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for his love for Ijesaland.
And by extension, Ijesaland shall continue to be grateful to His Excellency, Governor Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke for his impressive developments in the nascent University of Ilesa.
