Ilegramms Old Students 73/78 Set Mourn Colleague, Mrs Eniola Funlola Adebisi ( Nee Fadiya)




Late Mrs Eniola Funlola Adebisi ( Nee Fadiya)


Members of the alumni association of Ilesa Grammar School 73/78 set have commiserated with the family of one of them, Mrs Eniola Funlola Adebisi ( Nee Fadiya) who breathed her last on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 at the age of 63.


Until her death, the deceased had retired from teaching and lived in Ijebu-jesa.


Mrs Eniola Adebisi worked at various schools amongst which are, Esa Odo Grammar School and Ijebu Jesa Grammar School where she retired.



She was a committed and consummate christian of the Catholic Church where she held several responsible positions throughout her adult and up to the time of her sudden transition. Amongst these offices are but not limited to; Treasurer, Christian Association of Nigeria, Oriade Local Government Chapter; President, Catholic Women Organization Ibokun Deaconry, Auditor, BSN Oriade Local Government Chapter. Until her transition, she was a devoted and efficient Secretary of Ijebu Jesa Cooperative and Credit Society.



Reactions trailed the death of Eniola on the WhatsApp platform of the Ilegramms 73/78 set. 


Announcing her demise to all members via the platform, Mr. Babatunde Adewale, the President of the set said "She fought her illness gallantly and took a final bow. She was survived by her children and husband.



"May the Lord grant her eternal rest and comfort her loved ones including all of us of ILEGRAMS 73/78 who now mourn her premature departure." The set President prayed

In a tribute powered by Mrs Oyenike Bolaji Ola, Diaspora Vice President, who remarked that late Eniola took ill for some time and like a valiant soldier fought stoically without openly showing her battle scars. She braced all odds despite her deteriorating health conditions to attend the Great Ilesa Grammar School 90th Founders Anniversary celebration on Saturday the 9th of February,2024. Sadly it was at this memorable occasions that members of the Association got to know of her travails.


"She was a committed and valuable member loved by all which prompted the rallying around her for the few months she lived thereafter." She said



The Christian Wake keep was held on Friday, 26th April, 2024 at herAdewumi Estate, Ajifolokun Street, ljebu-Jesa, residence while well attended Funeral Service took place at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Oke Riru, ljebu-Jesa, on Saturday, 27th April, 2024. 



She was survived by her husband and five promising and wonderful children.
