Oba Adekunle Aromolaran II CFR, LLD, Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland has accepted the proposal to separate the spiritual/cultural and social aspects of the Iwude festival by allocating each aspect a dedicated day, so as to give appropriate focus and attention to both components of the festival.
The suggestions became highlights of the meeting of the festival's planning committee with representatives of clubs and societies held on Friday, 26th July, 2024.
Yesterday, members of the committee were led by the Chairman, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola to the Owa Obokun Adimula Palace where the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland was briefed on the suggestions and proposals of Ijesaland daughters and sons on making the festival more elaborate and interesting.
