Hon. Engr Israel Ajibola Famurewa, former member of House of Representatives who represented Ijesa South Federal Constituency at the 7th and 8th assemblies has paid heartfelt tributes to Dr Abdulraif Adekunle Adeniji fondly called Natty Kongo who recently died in the hands of his kidnappers.
In a condolence message seen by e-signed by Hon. Ajibola Famurewa seen by KAKAKIOODUA this morning, he expressed deep sorrow over the painful passing of Adekunle Adeniji, describing him a dogged politician and dedicated public servant, who demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, humility, and a commitment to progressive ideals.
"I personally adored his skills as a grassroots politician who played a key role in the party's successes in our State and at the national level since 1999 when he was elected as Chairman Ife Central Local Government.
"He served in different capacity to uplift the party and support government, he was the Osun East Coordinator of Independent Campaign Council of President Bola Tinubu's election.
"His support for my cause as our party's flag bearer for the Osun East senatorial seat election is still fresh is my memory.
"Natty Kongo, we will surely miss you in Binukonu caucus but I pray Almighty Allah grant your soul eternal rest.
"Vengeance belong to God and I pray God will avenge your death on the criminals that comited this crime.
