Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, arrived at his family residence in Isale-Osi, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, at 1:20 p.m. on Monday.
He was warmly received by family members and friends.
Special prayers in both Islamic and Christian traditions were held in his honour. Oba Ladoja is expected to proceed to his Bodija residence later today.
Sources confirmed that the incoming monarch will undergo the traditional rites required for his installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The Olubadan-in-Council had nominated him on August 4, 2025, at the new Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo.
Although he was absent from the meeting, Oba Ladoja’s nomination was moved by the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, and seconded by the Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole, before being forwarded to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for approval.
