Ahuja Bello of juju music fame d!es






Famous juju musician Ahuja Bello is dead. The music star died today in Lagos.


Born Ismaila Dele Bello on August 24, 1942, in Iseyin, Oyo State, Ahuja Bello was a prominent Juju musician, guitarist, and vocalist. Starting out as an electronic technician, he followed his passion for music and formed his own band, “Ahuja Bello and His Golden Eagles Band”, in 1976.


He was known for his energetic performances and hit albums like “Awa ti Danfo” and “Ariya ti de”.


Musical Career and Notable Events:



In 1976, he established “Ahuja Bello and His Golden Eagles Band”.


Ahuja Bello and his band traveled to London in 1979 to record “Ahuja in London”.


He became friends with Bob Marley during their time in London.


Ahuja Bello’s career was tragically cut short by an accident on July 24, 1982, just a month before his 40th birthday.


His music continues to be enjoyed by fans, and he is remembered for his contributions to the genre.


He was known for his vibrant stage presence and musical talent.
