Popular traditional and folklore singer, Hon Niyi Ajetomobi aka Aladamo Ijesa has completed the process of floating a new radio station.
This was revealed by the singer in a chat after the release of a new album which paid glowing tributes to Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III
“As I prepare to launch my new album, which has songs that paid tribute and homage His Imperial Majesty Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, my new radio station, Radio Omokuotu, will hit the airwaves in Ileshta, Osun State soon,” he said.
In the album, Aladamo, the leader of new Dimension Adamo Band International, prayed for the new monarch and appealed to the Ijesha people and others to join hands with Oba Haastrup for the betterment of Ijesaland and the country as a whole.
The singer also praised the popular Ijesa club, the Egbe Asoju Oba of Ijesaland for their contribution towards the installation of the new Oba and to the growth of Ijesaland.
Speaking about the rationale behind the album, the singer said, “as a titled Chief in Ijesaland that is Amuludun of Idoko Ijesaland, the album is my own contribution towards the development of the town and the album will go a long way in educating all and sundry, side by side a reference point now and for the next generation.”
The popular singer said that he is working towards the launching of the album in Ilesa soon.
