The Ilesa East Local Government Advocacy Team of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the leading contender for the Osun governorship election slated for August 8, 2026, on Saturday carried out a road show to create awareness about the ongoing 2025 Nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
During the tour of major streets across wards of the local government area, the team called on all eligible citizens to seize the opportunity provided by the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and ensure they obtained their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The team using a Toyota Caster Truck mounted with Public Address System and some members using hand-held megaphones highlighted that the voter card is not only a requirement for participating in elections but also a necessity for influencing political leadership and driving sustainable development.
Hon. Akeem Adesoji Olowoopejobori, former Chairman of Ilesa East Local Government who is the coordinator of the team confirmed to KAKAKIOODUA that the sensitization tour continues tomorrow (Sunday) morning as the team intensifies efforts to mobilize Ilesa East Local Government residents toward mass registration.
