The 70th birthday celebrations of Asiwaju of ljesaland, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, will open in grand yet humble fashion, a day dedicated to thanksgiving, inclusivity, and the bonds of friendship.
True to his nature as a leader who belongs to all, regardless of faith, culture, or background, the first official activity will be a Special Jumat Service at the Central Mosque. This is no just a religious rite, but a symbolic act that speaks volumes about the Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi's lifelong commitment to unity.
His philanthropy, community projects, and leadership initiatives have touched Muslims, Christians, and adherents of other faiths alike, driven by the conviction that humanity is one under God.
The Jumat Service will bring together traditional rulers, family, friends, community leaders, and well-wishers from far and near. It will be a moment to pause, reflect, and offer gratitude to Almighty Allah for seven decades of grace, good health, and an exemplary life of service.
The Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi warmly invites everyone, irrespective of religion, to join him in this spiritual opening to a celebration that will span for 9 days.
2. An Evening of Camaraderie -Ijesa Sports Club Hosts AOF@ ljesa Sports Club, Ilesa

Later in the day, the celebrations will take on a lighter, convivial tone as the ljesa Sports Club, one of the most prestigious and foremost recreational clubs, established in 1977 in Ilesa, hosts a special evening in honour of their Patron, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi.
Known for its blend of tradition, friendship, and leisure, the Ijesa Sports Club has long been a space where community bonds are strengthened beyond professional and political lines. As a Patron, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi has supported the club's vision of fostering unity, wellness, and social interaction among its members. This evening reception will not only celebrate his milestone birthday but also serve as a gathering of friends and associates to share laughter, stories, and goodwill.
From the reverence of the mosque in the morning to the warmth of fellowship at the club in the evening, Day 1 of AOF @ 70 will perfectly capture the essence of the man: a leader who prays with all, plays with all, and serves all.
