The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the tragic death of a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, who was shot during a sign-out party.
The deceased, identified as Babalola Marvelous Ishola, was reportedly found lifeless by the roadside at about 5:38 p.m. on Wednesday.
This was disclosed by Zagazola Makama a counter-insurgency expert through their Official X handle on Thursday.
Citing sources Zagazola stated that, the discovery was made after a report was received about a male corpse lying unattended by the roadside.
A team of security operatives were immediately dispatched to the scene, where the victim was identified through a search of his person.
