Prince Bankole Adeyefa has been chosen as the new Elemure of Emure-Ile in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Adeyefa, the son of the late Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa, clinched the stool after polling four out of the five votes cast by the town’s kingmakers.
The Olori Ebi of Emure-Ile, Prince Omotosho, announced the outcome of the selection, which was observed by representatives of the Owo Local Government.
Before his emergence, the monarch-elect served as a senior procurement officer at the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa.
The late Oba Adeyefa passed on in March 2025, with the succession process seen by indigenes as a smooth continuation of the Adeyefa dynasty.
The Oba-elect studied at several institutions, including Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Achievers University, Adekunle Ajasin University, and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic.
He holds an MBA in Procurement and Supply Chain, a B.Sc. in Business Administration, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management.
