The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 20 of the 23 local government area chairmanship seats in Saturday’s Chairmanship and Councillorship elections in Rivers State.
The outcome of the electoral contest was announced on Sunday afternoon by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).
The contested Rivers LGA election took place on Saturday August 30, 2025.
