All roads led to the Ijesa Spots Club's House, the foremost Ijesaland recreational institution, founded in 1977, situated at the Enu-Odi, Ijebu-Jesa road, Ilesa, Osun State, where the Board of Trustees, Patrons, Patronesses, Royal Patrons, the Executive Committee, and members of the Ijesa Sports Club, on Friday, joined with invited guests in an evening of camaraderie to celebrate Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, first Asiwaju of ljesaland in a grand style, being one of the events lined up in a 9-day program of his 70th birthday anniversary.
The program in honor Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi an esteemed Patron of the Club, was coordinated by Hon. Kenneth Opebiyi, the Club's Director of Social and Publicity following the Special Jumat Service at the Central Mosque, Ilesa, Mosque in the afternoon being the Day 1 of a 9-day program lined up to celebrate Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi at 70.
In his welcome address titled "A Trailblazer @ 70", Hon. Kenneth Opebiyi, remarked that Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, has always been a shining light and a beacon of hope for all members as he inspires the upcoming generation with his exemplary character and unwavering commitment to progress.
"Your role as a community leader, guide, and mentor has left an indelible mark. and we are grateful for your contributions." He said
Also delivering a prepared Tribute on the joyous occasion of the 70h birthday of the celebrant on behalf of the President of the Club Otunba Dr. Kayode Arimoro, who was unavoidably absent, the Vice President Mr. Ishola Iyiola Ayinde said Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi's steadfast commitment to the progress of ljesaland is a legacy in itself one that deserves to be recognized and celebrated.
"Dear Patron, on behalf of the board of trustees, patrons and patronesses, executive committee, and the entire membership of ljesa Sports Club, we express our sincerest appreciation for your tireless support and commitments. You have always championed youth development and empowerment, and your visionary leadership continues to shape the aspirations of current and future generations.
"Your impact can be seen in numerous groundbreaking initiatives that now stand as landmarks in ljesaland. The magnificent new palace in Ilesa, a symbol of your foresight and resilience, speaks to your desire to unify and uplift our people. Your instrumental role in establishing the geriatric center in Ilesa also highlights your deep compassion and concern for the welfare of our elders. These projects are more than physical accomplishments.
"The founding of the University of Ilesa, born from your visionary spirit, stands as a monumental achievement and a beacon of educational advancement in our region. Through your advocacy and generosity, initiatives such as the Leventis Foundation programs and the FSTC school bursary have opened doors of opportunity for countless young minds.
"As you celebrate your 70 year, we pray that God continues to renew your strength like the eagle's, empowering you for even greater service to ljesaland. Your life is a shining example of leadership, service, and commitment values that continue to inspire us all.
"We also wish to acknowledge the profound and personal impact you have had on us all. Your generosity, wisdom, and steadfast support have made you not just a respected patron, but also a beloved father figure to many." Otun Arimoro said in part his tribute
Hon. Ayo Ategbero, Obanla Akinola Obi, Hon. Akin Awoniyi and Alagba Wale Idowu also eulogized the celebrant as they stepped out to give their Tributes.

In his words of appreciation, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi remarked that Ijesa Sports Club is for the noble Ijesa sons and daughters that want the progress and unity of the zone.
Present were traditional rulers, Yeyerise, Yeyesogba, Yeye Ajirowa, members of the Ijesa Community Development Assembly among others
