The alumni association of Ilesa Grammar School’s 1973‑1978 graduating class has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the school compound in Ilesa. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
In a statement signed by the set’s president, Mr. Babatunde Adewale, members were urged to attend the gathering, where critical issues affecting the school’s development will be discussed. The AGM will also conduct elections for a new executive committee to steer the association for the next two‑year term.

The Electoral Committee, chaired by Mr. Olubunmi Oladele, released the results of a 24‑hour ultimatum issued to current EXCO members regarding eligibility for a second term. In accordance with the association’s constitution, several office‑holders confirmed their intention to seek re‑election:
- Mr. Babatunde Adewale – President
- Mr. Ademilola Adewole – Vice President (Nigeria)
- Mrs. Oyenike Ola – Vice President (Diaspora)
- Mrs. Olutoyin Awoseyi – Assistant General Secretary
- Mrs. Ibitola Oladeji – Social Secretary
- Mrs. Modupe Faseun – Chief Whip
- Mrs. Oluyemisi Oluwabiyi – Welfare Secretary
The following positions will remain vacant, as the incumbents declined to run again:
- General Secretary
- Financial Secretary
- Public Relations Officer
The Electoral Committee has begun verifying the eligibility of the candidates and preparing the ballot for the upcoming election.
The AGM is expected to draw a large turnout of alumni eager to shape the future of their alma mater and its alumni network.
