A free medical outreach event organized by Victory Support Foundation and Southwest Progressive Group took place in Ilesa, Osun State, providing essential healthcare services to the community.
Speaking to our correspondent, Amb Olubunmi Olufunmilayo, Founder and CEO of Victory Support Foundation, explained the motivation behind the event.
According to Amb Olufunmilayo, the NGO identified Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, as a leader who embodies accountability and a commitment to serving the people. "We saw in Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji somebody that will be able to take care of the state, that will not be self-centered... We want to support him in response to people's complaining about their health issue," she said.
The event offered screenings for hypertension, diabetes, and malaria, as well as free eye screenings and complimentary medications. Amb Olufunmilayo expressed gratitude to Southwest Progressive Group for their support, stating, "I want to give kudos to the Southwest Support Program for also giving us a backing."
The medical outreach was part of the organization's efforts to bring healthcare services to local communities, and they plan to continue this initiative in other areas.
