OSUN DEPUTY GOVERNOR JOINS APC NATIONAL LEADERS ON VISIT TO OONI OVER TINUBU’S RE-ELECTION

Top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday visited the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at his palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, as part of early moves to secure support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

The powerful delegation was led by Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The visit was aimed at seeking the royal father's support for President Tinubu's second-term ambition as preparations for the 2027 general elections begin to gather strength across the country.

Among the top political figures who joined the visit were Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje; and Osun State Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi.

Other members of the delegation included former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko; former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Patricia Olubunmi Etteh; former Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wamakko; former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; and former Gombe State Governor, Danjuma Goje.

The visit to the Ooni's palace is part of ongoing political consultations by APC leaders ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

With the election drawing closer, the ruling party is stepping up efforts to reach important leaders and groups across the country as it seeks wider support for President Tinubu's second-term bid.
