IWUDE IJESA FESTIVAL: Planning Committee Briefs Oba Aromolaran and Chiefs

His Imperial Majesty, Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, CFR, LL.D, was officially briefed by the 2021 Iwude Ijesa Festival Planning Committee that the Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe who is the Chairman of International Breweries PLC will lead some of his high chiefs and members of Board of Directors to this year's grand finale that holds on Saturday 18th December, 2021.

 

Members of the 2021 Iwude Ijesa Festival Planning Committee were led by Chief Afolabi Igbaroola on Saturday to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, CFR, LL.D,  for a briefing on the plans for 2021 edition of the Annual Festival.

Members also briefed the entire meeting of Íjesa chiefs at Okemese palace court. 

Speaking while receiving the Committee members Oba Aromolaran said that Ijesa people are known for their hospitality as he seized the occasion of the briefing to appreciate the Committee members and implore the Committee to intensify more on publicity and media promotion of the Ijesa Annual Festival to the whole world.

Kabiyesi was quick to remark that the coming of Obi of Onitsha to this year's edition will provide an increased community awareness as Ijesa people will joyously celebrate it's heritage.

Earlier in his presentation of the plans for the 2021 edition of the festival to the meeting of Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, CFR, LL.D with all his chiefs at Okemese, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola informed the meeting that the management of the International Breweries PLC, Ilesa has agreed to partner with the planning committee's scheduled events and not to organize any parallel gathering or celebration.
