The State of Osun House Assembly has passed vote of confidence on management of Osun State College of Education Ila Orangun and College of Technology Esa- Oke for their attitudinal behaviour towards the tertiary institution.
Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation Hon. Taiwo Adebayo Olodo made this known at the ongoing budget defense exercise at the House of Assembly Osogbo.
He noted that the management of these institutions has done well to be proud of since they come on board.
He said that the management of the institutions has made the state proud of academic excellent.
He also noted that the institutions must not die but must be grow.
He observed that the house of assembly would look into the upgrading of the college of education to university standard.
According to him, "Upgrading of Osun state college of education to university standard will be done in-house".
"It will pay, if government can upgrade the institution to university" he added.
He confirmed that the committee has control figure to check what various brought for defense exercise.
He said that there is effect to the correction made in previous years budget.
In his remarks, the Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Education Hon. John Ibirogba described the education as pivotal thing to life of mankind.
He advised the institution management not to rely solely on government funds but rather look inward.
He also described 21% fund allocation to education sector as round peg in round hole while noting that governor of the state Mr Gboyega Oyetola was a manager of both human and mineral resources.
According to him, "There is need to pump fund to education due to sensitive nature of the education to human race".
He advised every one to play his or her part very well for the success of education sector in the state.
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to governor on Education Mr. Jamiu Olawumi noted that the state is only state in the entire south west that charges less fees in all its tertiary institutions.
He confirmed that the present administration has done a lots in education since its inception.
Among the ministries, departments and agencies of government appeared for defense exercise including Ministry of Education, Osun state College of Technology Esa -oke, Osun state College of Education Ilesa, Osun State Polytechnic Iree and Osun state College of Education Ila Orangun respectively.
And at today's sitting, the State of Osun House Assembly passed vote of confidence on the management of Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) for their steadfastness.

He noted that the scheme has come to stay in the state for good.
He observed that the health insurance schemes is running the way it supposed.
According to him, "The health insurance schemes is running the way it is suppose to run".
"The scheme have put smile on people's face, so it has come to stay in Osun" he added.
He commended the state government under the leadership of governor Gboyega Oyetola on his efforts on health care services in the state.
He said that the 332 health centers has care and rendering services to all citizens and residence of the state.
He urged the management of the scheme to always carry the house committee on it's activities.
In other hand, the committee also charged the ministry of Science, Innovation and Technology to be the service center for the state.
He urged the ministry to work and improve on their services to house of assembly.
He promised to give support to the ministry to deliver good services to the people.
In their various contributions, the lawmakers urged the ministries and agencies to work more on revenue generation for smooth running the government.
They advised them to improve on their good services to humanity.
Among the ministry, department and agencies of government appeared for defense exercise including Osun state ministry of Science, Innovation and Technology, Osun state ministry of Health, Osun Health Insurance Scheme, Osun Primary Health Development Scheme, Osun State University Teaching Hospital and Osun Hospital Management Board respectively.
