The chairman of a socio-political group, Dynamic Reformers, under the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Duro Olaleke, has taken the immediate-past Minister of Interior, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, to the cleaners over his superlative celebration of his post-ministerial appointment of four years under the administration of ex-President Muhammed Buhari.
Olaleke who stated that he has noted almost a week-long activities for what Aregbesola tagged 'celebration of my home-coming' remarked that there is no justification under the sun for the former Osun State governor to roll out the drums for whatever reason.
The retired educationist-politician submitted that it is either Aregbesola does not have conscience or he is shameless or pathologically wicked that he is gallivanting over the cessation of his ministerial assignment.
The Dynamic Reformers' chairman told Aregbesola point-blank that whoever had advised him to celebrate the end of his service as a Minister of the federal republic of Nigeria has succeeded in ill-advising him.
In the retired school principal's words: "If I may ask Rauf Aregbesola what he is celebrating? Is he celebrating the loss of Osun State to Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) whom he directed his adherents to work for during the series of the elections that were held in the state?
"History will not forget the ignominious and treacherous roles that you played in order to pull down the literary house of the APC in Osun State for your selfish and rabid ambition.
"You must know the fact that you would not be the first and the last Minister of Osun State indigene.
"It is not an hyperbolic expression to observe and state that your ministerial appointment had brought woes, disdain, and sorry sights to the people of the state as there was nothing spectacular that the state and the citizenry could be said to have benefited from it.
"Your appointment was a monumental waste to Osun State as it is on record that you preferred to empower the indigenes of another states by way of appointments and contracts from Kogi, Lagos and Ondo states.
"You shamelessly exhibited the trait of an ungrateful element in you when you chose to deride and curse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who picked you up from the gutter through which your story was changed for better by being a two-term Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure and later two-term Osun State governor.
"Are you not ashamed that God Almighty refused to accede to your supplication against Asiwaju to be brought down but rather he became the number one citizen of this nation despite the fact that you decided to jet out of the country during the presidential election just like the other elections.
"Instead of your choice of celebration, you should be crying as Satan used you and your rebellious followers to pull down the metaphorical house of the Progressives in the State of the Virtuous which eminently qualifies you to rank the same with the Biblical Judas.
"It was a pity that you sneaked into the Eagle Square, Abuja, like a thief in the night, penultimate Monday during the inauguration of Asiwaju Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as President and Vice-President respectively when ideally you should be in charge of the activities therein had it been that you hadn't bitten the fingers that fed you and openly ignominiously defecated on the sofa.
"That you have found a new friend in Governor Ademola Adeleke with whom you openly engaged in a shameless dance sometime ago was an indication that you are a character who should not be the role model of any discerning mind in the society.
"It's a pity that it doesn't occur to you that your name has become an abatross as the APC governorship candidate that you campaigned for in Oyo State lost the election woefully while your grip of the Progressives in Lagos has waned drastically if not completely.
"Rauf, I want you to search your mind whether you are qualified to put on the toga of an APC member again in Osun State having boasted and actually worked for the emergence of the PDP governorship candidate to become the state governor.
"Without mincing words, let me give you a piece of my advice that it is logical for one to reap where he has sown bountifully. If I am to be the final arbiter of your current status in the Osun APC, you and your co-travellers, are as good as having technically decamped to the PDP.
"Conclusively, Rauf should stop dancing naked in the market square as the goal post has shifted from its former abode", Olaleke remarked.
