Alhaj Lateef Akande Bakare, fondly called LAB has played host to many friends, colleagues, and well-wishers to celebrate a 3-in-1 event.

LAB who happened to be the Vice-chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee for His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup Ajimoko III, Owa Obokun Adimula Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, decided to shift his 70th Birthday which took place o Friday, June 20, 2025 to Saturday 5th July in a bid to accommodate three events.

The day was chosen as his installation as the AJIROWA of Ijesaland in recognition of his role in distinction for leadership excellence; donated a utility complex to the Ijesaland Geriatric Centre and feasting of his guests at a never-to-forgotten birthday party held amid pomp and pageantry in Ilesa. 

His wife, Bukola Bakare was also installed as Yeye Ajirowa of Ijesaland.

One would recall that on Sunday, December 29, 2024 when Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke presented staff of office to the then newly elected Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, had publicly announced Alhaji Lateef Bakare as AJIROWA of Ijesaland.

At the Saturday installation ceremony, Owa Ajimoko III hailed Ajirowa Lateef Bakare as a patriotic and a distinguished priceless asset of Ijesaland.

Ajirowa Lateef Bakare has been consistent, dependable, reliable and trusted and therefore earned the admiration and trust of His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup and his Council for his selfless service to humanity and Ijesaland, hence the conferment of a honorary AJIROWA Chieftaincy title.

The highlight of the installation event was the traditional rites and public presentation of the Ajirowa and Yeye Ajirowa of Ijesaland by HIM Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III. Several dignitaries graced the occasion.

After the Chieftaincy installation ceremony at the Obokungbusi hall, Ereja Square, Ilesa his guests moved to the Ijesaland Geriatric Centre, Ijebujesa road, Enuodi also in Ilesa where the celebrant used the moment to present an utility building complex to the management of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH).

The reception party which took place at Sanbeatz event centre at Imo, Ilesa witnessed who-is-who in Nigeria as it was a gathering of high-profile guests from various sectors of Nigerian society, such as politics, business, entertainment, or academia. An indicator to Ajirowa and Yeye Ajirowa Bakare families' connections and status.

Some of dignitaries at the events included Olori Victoria Haastrup, Chief Akinwande Akinola, Sawe of Ilesa, former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Air Vice Marshal, Petirin (Rtd), former Deputy Governor Christopher Iyiola Omisore , former Speakers RH Adejare Bello and Timothy Owoeye, Engr. Yemi Oguntominiyi, Mr. Iyiola Faniyi, Prof. Taiwo Ashaolu, Prof. Kola Kazeem, PDP chairman in Osun State, Sunday Bisi, former members of House of Rep, Israel Famurewa and Gbenga Onigbogi, former APC chairman, Lowo Adebiyi, Mr. Shola Oshunkeye, Lady Dupe Ajayi-Gbadebo, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola, Alagba Wale Idowu, Owarisa of Ilowa, Olomo of Omo-Ijesa, Awaraja of Iwaraja, Elegboro of Ijebu-jesa and High Chief Mrs Hannah Ojo, Yeyerise of Ilesa who supported by the Yeyesogbas and strong representation of the Yeyelobirins.
