The chieftains of the All Progressives Congress APC across Ijesaland have celebrated with the leader of the party in the zone and the Balogun Ijo of Saint John Cathedral Iloro Ilesa, Chief Kunle Odeyemi on his birthday anniversary which was celebrated with a morning Christian service at his Fadahunsi Avenue, Ilesa residence with several notable personalities in attendance.
Chief Odeyemi clocked 78 years old on Monday, January 15, 2024, with eminent individuals, various groups and associates rejoicing with the elder statesman.
Very Rev. David I. Fadugba, the Provost of the Cathedral Church of St. John Iloro Ilesa directed the morning service and was assisted by Prophetess D. A. Bamidele - Founder and G.O. Prayers Warriors Ministry as Lady Evangelist Christiana Ajayi led the praise and worship session, while the immediate past Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye assumed the position of the Master of Ceremonies and was on top of his game as he directed guests to testify at the event.
Some of the prominent personalities at the occasion were Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, a national House of Representatives member, Hon. Babatunde Ayeni, also a former House of Representatives member, Hon. Wale Adedoyin former Osun House of Assembly member, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, former Osun State Commissionner for Works Hon. Lanre Balogun, former local government chairman Chief Bayo Fagbulu, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola, a Chattered Accountant, members of Ijesa Sports Club just to mention but a few.

In their various testimonies they all acknowledged the impacts of the grassroots politician on his immediate community, to his political party, the All Progressives Congress and the country in general.
It was an occasion to appreciate his dedication, contributions, hard work, services, over the years and most importantly, for maintaining his integrity, humility and loyalty despite being a politician.
In his vote of thanks, the host appreciated everyone who came from various places to celebrate with him as he reminded his guests on the ongoing Kunle Odeyemi Indoor Sports Complex that he is sponsoring at the Ilesa Diocese Heritage City. "This is the first great thing I would do and I want it completed in my lifetime". He said in his closing remarks
