A section of the residence of late Adebayo Abon in Imo, off International Brewery, Ilesa East local government Osun State was on Wednesday gutted by fire.
KAKAKIOODUA gathered that the fire razed down the storey building used as lodgement of the popular Abon family and a part of it leased by a private school.
The popular Adebayo Abon residential quarters is named after the raised family building.
All household items in the building were destroyed but no life was lost.
An insider, who would not want his name mentioned, also said the fire spread from the sitting room downstairs where Mr Wole Abon, representative of the family is lodged.
The arrival of the State Fire Service in Ilesa prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings in the neighborhood.
