OSUN: Reinstated Council Chairman hit the ground running... pays working visit to Public Health Centres

The Executive Chairman of Ilesa East local government, Hon. Lanre Balogun, on Wednesday paid a working visit to Public Health Centres of Okeoye, Ilesa ward 8, Irojo Primary Health Care of ward 9, Okesa PHC of ward 7, Ilemo PHC ward 4 and Ijamo PHC ward 5 . The visit provided opportunity for the Chairman and his Executive Committee members to confirm that Health workers of the local government continue with their activities.

This visit also underscores the dedication and enthusiasm of the Hon. Lanre Balogun led administration to provide quality primary healthcare services to Ilesa East local government and Ilesa North East LCDA citizens.

"Ilesa East local government administration under my watch has hit the ground running in the area of strengthening health care services through effective collaboration with the state government in the area of provision and maintenance of health services." Hon. Lanre Balogun remarked 

The Chairman during the visit,  embarked on the  tour of the different sections and facilities  at the Centres, for direct assessment as he asked the officials in charge of their immediate needs.

At each of the sections visited; the Chairman and his Team  were provided with necessary information.

Also during the tour of the sections, the Chairman met on ground and interacted with  some of the patients being attended to at the time of his visit.

This was one of the local government’s efforts to ensure high level supervision of PHC services and ensure excellent delivery of services.

Hon. Lanre Balogun expressed his satisfaction with the standard of primary health care services being provided and was glad that the health workers are not identified with the local government workers who have stayed away from work.

He reiterated the commitment of the local Government to prioritize the well-being of its citizens as he appealed to the heads of the PHCs not to hesitate to bring their demands to the notice of the authority at the Iyemogun Secretariat.
