The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup has secured the release of Leventis Foundation Agricultural School's principal, Dr Muheeden Popoola from prison custody
Dr. Popoola was remanded in Ilesa Prison by Mrs Shiyanbola of Ilesa Magistrate Court 4 on Thursday, July 24, 2025, for alleged trespass.
The principal's arrest was made by the State CID Osogbo, following a complaint lodged by Mrs. Adedigba regarding alleged trespass on her property.
The said property is purportedly part of the arable farm belonging to Leventis Foundation Agricultural School, Ilesa.
Following his response to the police invitation in Osogbo, the principal was arrested, charged to court, and remanded in Ilesa Prison, having failed to fulfill the bail conditions in a timely manner
The specified bail conditions were two sureties with 500 thousand naira, landed property in Ilesa, three years tax clearance, Electricity bill, and NIN.
Report indicates that the case was the final one to be heard for the day prior to the court adjourning to some minutes past 3pm.
Following the incident, the Owa Obokun, who was in the United States of America at the time, instructed prominent Ijesaland individuals to secure the release of the detained school principal and expressed his interest in the matter..
Recall that the Owa Obokun has declared his zero tolerance for land grabbing after he was presented with the certificate of installation and staff of the office by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
