Engr. Dideolu Falobi Declares Intention to Contest 2026 Osun Governorship on APC Platform

Engineer Dideolu Falobi, FNSE, FCIoD, Managing Director of Kresta Laurel Limited and a respected voice in engineering, entrepreneurship, and community development, has formally declared his intention to contest the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Falobi made the declaration after what he described as “deep reflection, extensive consultations, and prayerful consideration.” He noted that his decision stemmed from a conviction that Osun must be “re-engineered for peace, unity, and sustainable development.”

A New Step into Politics

In his announcement, Falobi admitted that active participation in partisan politics was not part of his original plans. According to him, he had long believed that his contributions through professional, entrepreneurial, and community platforms would be sufficient. However, he explained that recent realities had shown him that meaningful transformation requires direct involvement in governance.

“We must expand the critical mass of well-meaning individuals in politics, whether through direct participation or strategic support,” he stated.

Professional and Leadership Background

Falobi, a distinguished engineer and fellow of multiple professional bodies, has served as Managing Director of Kresta Laurel Limited since 2005. Under his leadership, the company has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading engineering firms, creating jobs and delivering landmark projects across the country.

He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Chartered Institute of Directors, and the Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers. With decades of experience spanning technical, managerial, and community leadership roles, Falobi says he is uniquely positioned to lead Osun State into a new era of peace and development.

Campaign Vision: “Fresh Ideas” for Osun

Adopting the slogan “Re-engineering Osun State for Peace and Development in Unity”, Falobi emphasized that his campaign will be built on the principles of inclusivity, innovation, and accountability. His message to the electorate is anchored on “Fresh Ideas” that will drive reforms in governance, unlock economic opportunities, and strengthen social harmony.

Campaign materials unveiled so far feature a bold red, blue, and white palette, symbolizing energy, renewal, and unity. Supporters have also begun mobilizing under the umbrella of the Dideolu Falobi Campaign Organisation (DOFCO), with WhatsApp and social media platforms established to coordinate grassroots engagement.

A Call to Action

Falobi urged citizens of Osun State to rally behind his vision, stressing that leadership should not only “listen and unite,” but also “work with competence and integrity.” He reaffirmed his readiness to serve the people and his commitment to delivering a government that prioritizes peace, development, and the empowerment of every community across the state.
