Falobi joins Osun APC Governorship Aspirants Race

Engineer Dideolu Falobi, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and the Institute of Directors (FCIoD), has officially declared his intention to contest the 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Falobi, in a statement on Sunday, said his decision followed “deep reflection, extensive consultations, and prayerful consideration,” noting that his aspiration is anchored on re-engineering Osun State for peace, unity, and sustainable development.

According to him, although he had not initially planned to venture directly into politics, he came to the realisation that his contributions outside governance would not be sufficient in driving the much-needed transformation for the state.

“We must continue to expand the critical mass of well-meaning individuals actively involved in politics — whether through direct participation or strategic support. This realisation has informed my decision,” he said.

Falobi, an engineer, entrepreneur, and community leader, said his years of professional and community service exposed him to the urgent reforms required to move Osun forward.

He disclosed that his campaign will run on the theme: “Re-engineering Osun State for Peace and Development in Unity” and will be driven by a 12-Point Agenda. The agenda will focus on good governance, economic diversification, youth and women empowerment, infrastructural renewal, agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, diaspora engagement, and accountable leadership.

The aspirant called on stakeholders, opinion leaders, and citizens of Osun to support his ambition through endorsements, strategic connections, volunteerism, and resource mobilisation.

Falobi added that he will be engaging supporters and stakeholders in the coming weeks through physical meetings and online platforms, including a Zoom session, to further share his vision.

“Together, we can chart a bold new course for Osun State — one that restores hope, unites our people, and delivers tangible results for every citizen,” he said.
