Dear Asiwaju,
I am writing on behalf of myself and my wife, Lady, Hon Justice Olajumoke Daramola, (Rtd.) to congratulate you on this occasion of your 70th Birthday Celebrations.
We have been watching with amazement, your deep concern for the general welfare of people in Ijesaland. Your open interventions commenced about six years ago during the IBEDC crisis when the whole of Ijesaland was plunged into darkness. You worked tirelessly on this, the crisis was quickly resolved, and light was restored. Since then, you have never looked back.
The initiation of the construction of the palace for the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, and of the Geriatric hospital belong to you.You provided support for the Federal Technical College, Ilesa and also scholarships and bursaries for many students in various secondary schools in Ijesaland.
You initiated Health Insurance Scheme covering hundreds of old men and women in Ijesaland.
Above all, the Ijesa Development Fund, IDF, conceived and created by you as the vehicle for taking developments, and welfare packages, to the nooks and corners of Ijesaland will swing into action this October.
All these came in the short space of the last six years. And, they are legendary legacies for generations yet unborn to emulate and build upon.
We wonder, not only, as to how you found time and energy for all these, but impressed, much more, for your contributions, sacrifices and unselfishness.
You are a huge blessing to Ijesaland!
May God and the "Eleda of Ijesaland" continue to keep you in good health, and to bless your efforts and endeavours.
In particular, Lady Daramola rejoices with you for being blessed with a good wife (Prov.18:22).
Lady will, especially, want to thank Yeye Asiwaju, Dr. Olubisi Fasuyi for her understanding and support. She commends Yeye as that perfect example of total submission and obedience, the main reason why you have been able to go thus far and can be "sitted among the elders of the town" (Prov. 31:28).
Lady prays that Yeye will never know bitter over her children and loved ones.
