Egbe Atunluse describes Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi as a rare catalyst for development...who mobilises others for the social, economic, and infrastructural advancement of Ijesaland but also dedicates his intellectual and financial resources to the cause

 

Egbe Atunluse Ile-Ijesa extends warm felicitations to Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, a paragon of improvement, on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.

Asiwaju is a rare catalyst for development who embodies his words and leads by exemplary conduct. He not only mobilizes others for the social, economic, and infrastructural advancement of Ijesaland but also dedicates his intellectual and financial resources to the cause.

Following your installation as Asiwaju of Ilesa approximately eight years ago, you spearheaded the construction of the new ultramodern Owa palace, a feat that precipitated your elevation as the Asiwaju of Ijesaland by Owa Adekunle Aromolaran.

The success of the palace project, which was your brainchild, paved the way for the establishment of the largest geriatric hospital in the West Africa sub-region. Shortly thereafter, over 250 indigent children of Ijesa origin received scholarship awards to study at the Federal School of Science and Technology through the Ijesa Community Development Assembly under your visionary leadership. The number has continued to grow since then.

Furthermore, over 200 youths were sponsored to undergo training on agribusiness at the Leventis Foundation Agricultural School, Ilesa, courtesy of the Ijesa Community Development Assembly, a testament to the shared dreams of Ijesa sons and daughters.

Asiwaju, your unwavering determination prompted you and a few other Ijesas to launch the Ijesaland Development Fund, which has secured the endorsement of His Imperial Majesty Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland.

Posterity will not soon forget your role in bridging the gaps among traditional rulers in Ijesaland at a landmark meeting held at Ife-Iwara a few months after your installation.

The Egbe is proud of your contributions to the progress and development of humanity, particularly Ijesaland. You are a rare gem. May your energy never wane. We pray that the Almighty God grants you many more years of life, filled with good health, a sound mind, happiness, and peace, as you continue to promote the progress, improvement, and development of Ijesaland and its people.
