The Ijesa Development Fund (IDF) was officially launched on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Obokungbusi Hall, Ilesa, with the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, presiding over the epoch-making event.
The event that symbolized a new dawn of unity, progress, and prosperity for the Ijesa people, translating the vision of "Ijesa for Ijesa Development an initiative of Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, Asiwaju of Ijesaland into reality.
Earlier, the designer of the ICDA/ IDF website Mr. Olaitan Akinola, President of Ibadan Recreation Club, made a presentation on the use of the website at following the records of the "Developers of Ijesaland".
The initiator of the IDF, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi also took the stage to make an intrinsic exposition on the methodology and sustainability of the unprecedented developmental initiative.
Owa Adesuyi Haastrup, the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, had the distinguished opportunity to address selected representatives from all the political wards of Ijesaland during the epoch-making occasion.
This momentous event brought together traditional rulers, community leaders, diasporans, and representatives from all the political wards, providing a platform for the monarch to share his vision and insights on development.
With his esteemed position and influence, Owa Adesuyi Haastrup leveraged this occasion to advise and encourage the representatives to adopt diverse approaches to development, fostering healthy competition and collaboration. His words of wisdom and guidance were aimed at driving progress and contributing to the overall development of Ijesaland.

The unveiling of the IDF marked a significant milestone in Ijesaland's development journey, and Owa Adesuyi Haastrup's address served as a clarion call to action, inspiring the representatives to work towards a brighter future for the kingdom.
Setting the ball rolling, Owa Adesuyi Haastrup made a donation of N1m into the accounts of each of the six local government areas of Ijesaland; namely, Ilesa East LG, Ilesa West LG, Atakumosa East LG, Atakumosa West LG, Obokun LG and Oriade LG. This was followed by Olori Victoria Haastrup's donation of N500,000 into each of the LGAs.
Others donors of N1m into the accounts of each of the six LGAs included Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, Yeyeoba Yemisi Iyanda and Bobagunwa Remi Oyeyemi.
A significant milestone was achieved in Ijesaland's development journey as the IDF immediately garnered substantial support from stakeholders present at the unveiling resulting in the influx of monetary donations, channeled through the IDF/ICDA local government bank accounts that will enable the local governments to implement crucial projects that will improve the quality of life for the people of Ijesaland. The IDF's impact is anticipated to be far-reaching, fostering growth, and prosperity in the region.
The highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of ICDA/IDF cheques of N10m to each of the Ward Executives in the six Local Government Areas, marking the commencement of developmental interventions across Ijesaland. The IDF, a visionary initiative of the Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) under the Chairmanship of Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, aims to fund strategic projects in health, education, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
