In a brief statement released on November 29, 2025, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti, deputy leader and co‑founder of the Omoluabi Progressives, announced his immediate withdrawal from the group and from all its activities.
Adeoti, who helped establish the party alongside other progressive figures across Osun State, said the decision was “never an easy one,” citing the personal and financial investments he has made since the group’s inception. He added that pressure from his immediate and extended family, urging him to “take an immediate short rest from all political activities,” also influenced his choice.
In the letter, Adeoti thanked his fellow progressives for the trust placed in him and wished the current leadership success in future endeavors. He did not specify a successor or provide further details about the party’s next steps.
