Dr. Tunde Faleye, the immediate‑past Managing Director of Osun Investment Company Limited (OSICOL), has congratulated Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji – popularly known as “AMBO” – on winning the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary for the 2026 Osun State election.
In a personally signed statement, Faleye, who succeeded Oyebamiji at OSICOL from 2017 to 2023, described the primary as “peaceful, transparent, and rancour‑free,” reflecting the party’s internal democracy. He called Oyebamiji’s victory “a round peg in a round hole,” citing the confidence party members have in his capacity, competence and leadership pedigree.
Faleye praised the APC leadership, including President Bola Tinubu, former Interim National Chairman Adebisi Akande, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola, National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, National Secretary Ajibola Basiru, Osun APC Chairman Tajudeen Lawal and the State Working Committee, for conducting a “seamless primary exercise that has become a source of pride to APC members across the state and beyond.”
He also commended the other aspirants for their maturity and respect for party supremacy, saying their conduct contributed to the peaceful outcome. Faleye urged all APC members to view Oyebamiji’s emergence as a collective victory and a call to duty, emphasizing the need to “return the APC to power in Osun State” and “rescue the state from drift towards total collapse under the current administration.”
Faleye concluded with a prayer for continued strength, wisdom and resilience for the party and its candidate as the campaign moves forward.
