Eniade Leads APC Mobilisation Drive in Odo-Otin, Welcomes Massive PDP/Accord Defection in Osun Speaker’s Ward

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun recorded a major boost in Odo-Otin Local Government Area on Saturday as Hon. Francis Eniade Damilare led a massive mobilisation drive that saw hundreds of members defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Accord Party to the APC.

The event, described by party faithful as a political earthquake, saw Mrs. Maria Akolade and Pastor Atewogbade Adeyemi lead hundreds of defectors who publicly renounced their former parties and pledged total allegiance to the APC, further weakening the opposition in the Osun Speaker’s Ward.

Addressing the new members, Eniade urged the decampees to work in unity and synergy with existing party faithful to ensure a resounding victory for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), at the August 8, 2026 governorship election. He assured them that Osun State would experience a new dawn of purposeful leadership and people-centred governance under an AMBO administration.

Eniade further charged the decampees to immediately key into the APC’s winning structure and work relentlessly with party members at all levels to deliver a decisive victory for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji during the forthcoming governorship election. He declared that the era of failed promises and political deception is over, assuring that Osun is set for a new dawn of responsive, people-driven governance under AMBO.

The event further highlights the growing acceptance of the APC across the local government, this is even as a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, Prince Adebayo Adeleke declared an end to family styled governance of the Adeleke administration, revealing that an end has come to the nepotistic rule of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun.

Several party chieftains in attendance, include Prince Adebayo Adeleke, Hon. Dele Adepoju, Hon. Iyiola Adekeye, Surveyor Seyi Oke, Alhaji Aliu Akinloye, Alhaji Jimoh Asa, Comrade Kunle Orisagbemi, and many other party leaders and stakeholders.

The massive defection is widely seen as a strong signal of the APC’s increasing grassroots momentum in Odo-Otin ahead of the 2026 governorship polls.
