Falobi Declares Support for Oyebamiji as APC Inaugurates Reconciliation Committee in Ijesa Zone

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, has formally declared his support for the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Bola Oyebamiji, as the APC inaugurated a Reconciliation Committee for the Ijesa Zone.

Falobi made the declaration on Tuesday during a meeting with APC leaders from the Ijesa Zone, where he expressed gratitude to party leaders for their support during the governorship primary election and for the courtesies extended to him throughout his consultations.

He called on party members across Osun State, particularly in Ijesaland, to close ranks and work collectively for the success of the APC in the forthcoming governorship election. According to him, the party must move beyond the outcome of the primaries and focus on strategic efforts aimed at securing victory in the August 8 governorship poll.

Speaking at the meeting, prominent party leaders including Sir Kunle Odeyemi, Hon. Femi Kujembola and Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye assured members that reconciliation efforts within the party are ongoing and will be sustained. They urged party faithful to place the collective interest of the APC above personal considerations, stressing the need to reclaim Osun State in the interest of present and future generations.

Following appeals from stakeholders, the APC Reconciliation Committee for the Ijesa Zone was constituted at the meeting. In addition, party leaders at the local government level were directed to immediately set up reconciliation committees to further strengthen unity across the zone.

Members of the Ijesa Zone Reconciliation Committee include Elder J. Oni as Chairman and Hon. R. Oluwatayo as Vice Chairman. Others are Barr. Onigbogi (Secretary) and Tobi Famurewa for Ilesa West; Idowu Falade and Yele Akintola for Ilesa East; Barr. Afilaka and James Olatuberu for Atakumosa East; Femi Oyeleye and Dare Ajumobi for Atakumosa West; Kayode Ajewole (Golo) and Bunmi Obeisun for Oriade; as well as Omojowogbe and Murphy, the Obokun APC Chairman, representing Obokun Local Government.

The meeting ended with prayers for Nigeria, Osun State, the APC and its leadership, as well as for victory for the party in the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
