ICDA Commends Dr. Busayo Awe Ahead of Commissioning of Ultra-Modern Dialysis Centre in Ijesaland

The Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) has commended renowned medical professional and healthcare investor, Dr. Busayo Awe, for his outstanding contributions to healthcare development in Ijesaland, ahead of the commissioning of an ultra-modern dialysis (kidney treatment) centre at the Daniel Adewole Awe Medical Centre, Iwaraja-Ijesa.

The dialysis centre, which is scheduled to be commissioned on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, is expected to significantly improve access to specialized renal care for residents of Ijesaland, Osun State, and surrounding communities.

In a statement issued on Monday, ICDA described the project as a landmark intervention in healthcare delivery, noting that dialysis treatment remains one of the most critical and financially demanding aspects of medical care. The Assembly said the new facility would help ease the burden on patients and families who often travel long distances to access kidney treatment.

The Daniel Adewole Awe Medical Centre, established two years ago, has continued to expand its services, with the addition of the state-of-the-art dialysis unit reinforcing its capacity to deliver comprehensive and quality healthcare.

ICDA praised Dr. Awe, a distinguished member of the Assembly, for his consistent and selfless support for developmental initiatives across Ijesaland. According to the statement, his contributions to ICDA projects reflect a deep commitment to sustainable development, institutional growth, and people-centred progress.

The Assembly also highlighted Dr. Awe’s previous service as National Chairman of Egbe Omo Obokun in North America, where he was credited with promoting unity and development among Ijesa indigenes in the diaspora.

Commending his continued investment in healthcare and human capital development, ICDA described Dr. Awe as a model of enlightened philanthropy and purposeful leadership. The Assembly expressed confidence that the dialysis centre would restore hope, dignity, and renewed confidence to patients requiring renal care.

The statement was signed by the ICDA Chairman, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, and dated January 26, 2026.
