The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO on Tuesday declared that the socioeconomic reforms anchored on the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had been yielding positive results and propelling Nigeria to greatness.
Oyebamiji described the initiative as ever the best in the history of the country commending President Tinubu's avowed commitment to build sustainable growth and development.
This is just as Osun state Renewed Hope Ambassador and former Information Commissioner, Hon. Sunday Akere reaffirmed readiness to return APC in the forthcoming governorship election in the state and general elections next year.
Recall that President Tinubu’s economic reforms including fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange unification, and tax restructuring had been boosting local manufacturing, agriculture, education, health, infrastructure, power and energy sectors which had been positioning Nigeria for long-term economic resilience and increased foreign investment.
Speaking at the official inauguration ceremony of the Osun State Local Government Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office, ileri-Oluwa House, Ogo-oluwa, Osogbo, Oyebamiji acknowledged successes recorded by the current administration in the country which had propelled Nigeria to the enviable heights.
He attributed the plethora of applauds received by the President Tinubu from local and international organizations over the successful implementations of renewed hope agenda particularly from World Bank, is International Monetary Fund, IMF and others.
"Our President and National Leader of the Party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has launched and promoted diverse initiatives that have projected Nigeria as an emerging and growing Economy with a reputable growth as attested to by the IMF and other foremost financial institutions worldwide.
"These initiatives include removal of Fuel Subsidy, NELFUND to enable our children's tertiary education irrespective of their backgrounds, Consumer credit schemes, local government autonomy and so on and so forth. These programs are over 50, to make life better for Nigerians", Oyebamiji added.
The APC gubernatorial candidate expressed confidence in the ability of the newly inaugurated local government renewed hope ambassadors to strengthen the party at the grassroots.
"These local government ambassadors will bring these programmes closer to the grassroots as vote for AMBO means that these programmes can spread to Osun State and beyond more easily felt by our people", Oyebamiji espoused.
Earlier, the Osun State Renewed Hope Ambassador, Hon. Sunday Akere, expressed readiness to work rigorously for the emergence of APC in the forthcoming governorship election and general elections.
"We are inaugurating these ambassadors in order to strengthen the party's engagement, grassroots mobilization, reach out and quality representation across the nooks and crannies of the state", Akere added.
The APC State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal who was represented by the party's treasurer, Hon. Femi Kujembola, eulogised the leadership and members of the party for their unflinching support and solidarity all along assuring them of continued dividends of democracy under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event was attended by leadership of the party from all walks of life.
