APC Adopts Sanya Omirin as Consensus Candidate for Ijesa South Reps Seat






The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijesa South Federal Constituency has adopted Hon. Sanya Omirin as its consensus candidate for the House of Representatives ahead of the forthcoming elections.


The decision, according to party leaders, followed extensive consultations with stakeholders, elders, and members of the party across the constituency. The move was described as a strategic step aimed at strengthening unity within the party and presenting a candidate with the experience and capacity to provide effective representation for the people.


Party faithful and supporters reportedly welcomed the announcement with excitement, describing it as a victory for cohesion and progress within the APC family in Ijesa South.


Speaking after the adoption, Hon. Omirin expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for the confidence reposed in him.


He said he was humbled by the unanimous decision and pledged to work diligently to justify the trust placed in him.


“I am humbled and honoured by this trust. I thank the leaders and members of our great party, the APC, for coming together as one family to make this possible. This victory belongs to all of us in the progressive family,” he said.


Omirin further assured party members and residents of the constituency of purposeful and people-oriented representation if elected, stressing that collective efforts would be needed to move Ijesa South forward.


The adoption is expected to further consolidate support for the APC within the constituency as political activities gather momentum ahead of the elections.
