The Ijesa Felates Club has unveiled the programme for its 60th Anniversary Celebration, marking six decades of fellowship, service and contributions to the development of Ijesaland.
The anniversary celebration, scheduled for Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, 2026, will feature sporting and social activities designed to bring together members, friends and distinguished guests from across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Activities will commence on Friday, August 7, with an Anniversary Golf Tournament at the University of Ilesa Golf Course beginning at 7:00 a.m. This will be followed by Ayo Games at the Ijesa Felates Club House from 10:00 a.m.
The grand finale will hold on Saturday, August 8, with the Anniversary Reception Programme at the Ijesa Felates Club House, starting at 10:00 a.m.
The event will be chaired by His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, who will serve as the Royal Father of the Day.
The Chairman of the 60th Anniversary Planning Committee, Prince Gbenga Lufadeju, is leading preparations for the landmark celebration, while Dr. Biodun Ogunbeku, the Director General of Ijesa Felates Club, is coordinating the overall programme.
The Diamond Jubilee celebration is expected to attract eminent personalities, community leaders, members of the club and well-wishers as the Ijesa Felates Club celebrates its rich history and enduring legacy since its establishment in 1966.
