The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate in the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, has felicitated the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, on his 72nd birthday.
Oyebamiji, in a birthday message personally signed and made available to journalists in Osogbo on Monday, described Oyetola as an exemplary leader whose years of service in both the public and private sectors had left significant footprints in the lives of many people.

The former Osun State Commissioner for Finance also described the Minister as a mentor, father figure and destiny-helper, acknowledging his influence and support over the years.
Oyebamiji served as Managing Director of Osun State Investment Company Limited (OSICOL) and as Commissioner for Finance under Governors Rauf Aregbesola and Adegboyega Oyetola.
He later served as Special Adviser to Oyetola as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy before his appointment as Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), an agency under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
According to Oyebamiji, Oyetola’s leadership qualities, public service record and commitment to humanity have earned him widespread respect among his associates and political followers.
He recalled the celebrant’s service as Chief of Staff to Governor Rauf Aregbesola, his tenure as Governor of Osun State and his current role as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, describing him as a leader who places emphasis on integrity, discipline, loyalty and service.
Oyebamiji also commended Oyetola’s work in the maritime sector, particularly his efforts toward increasing government revenue and improving the financial fortunes of the sector.
He described the Minister as a leader whose contributions to Nigeria’s maritime development would remain significant.
Reflecting on their relationship, Oyebamiji expressed appreciation to Oyetola for what he described as his fatherly role, mentorship, compassion and support.
“With a heart full of joy, praises and gratitude, I heartily rejoice and felicitate my boss, our leader, mentor, father and destiny-helper, the former Governor of our dear State and the current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency, Dr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday,” he said.
Oyebamiji added that Oyetola’s conduct in public life had demonstrated his commitment to leadership and service.
“My boss, I salute your courage even in the face of adversity; you remained unperturbed. I equally treasure your avowed commitment, dedication, astuteness, forthrightness, genuity and unconditional love for me in particular and humanity in general,” he stated.
The APC chieftain further praised Oyetola’s contributions to the development of the party and his impact on those who had worked closely with him.
“As a man of proven track-records in both public and private sectors, you have indeed demonstrated quality leadership in all fronts, and as a man of integrity, discipline, loyalty, sacrifice and honesty, your immense contributions to the growth and upliftment of our party and her faithful cannot be quantified,” Oyebamiji said.
He added: “You have written your name in the sand of time.”
Oyebamiji, on behalf of his family and members of the APC, congratulated Oyetola, his family, political and professional associates and well-wishers on the occasion.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to uphold the Minister and his family, grant him good health and longevity, and strengthen him to continue serving humanity.
“Congratulations my leader and mentor. Happy Birthday, Sir,” Oyebamiji concluded.
